Castle Hills Business Alliance ("we", "us") runs the Castle Hills Business Alliance Directory at chbusinessalliance.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information the Site shows and what it collects.
Business information we publish
The directory lists businesses in and around Castle Hills, Texas. For each listing we may show the business name, category, address, phone number, website, email address, and the name of a contact person. This information comes from a business list kept by the Castle Hills Business Association (September 2021), and from information businesses give us. It is business contact information. We do not publish home addresses, and we do not collect payment information.
What we collect from visitors
- We do not use accounts, ads, analytics or tracking tools. The Site does not set cookies.
- Light/dark setting. If you choose light or dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the Site remembers it. It is not sent to us.
- Search terms. Searching and filtering happen in your browser. We do not receive what you type.
- Member registration form. If you register a business, we receive the business details, contact names, emails and phone number, business category, description and participation preferences you enter. We use them to review the registration, contact you, and publish the business name, address, website, category and description in the directory (contact names, emails and phone numbers from the form are not published). It is sent to our email inbox and is not sold or shared.
- Contact form. If you send us a message, we receive the name, email, optional phone and business name, topic and message you enter. We use it only to reply to you, it is sent to our email inbox, and it is not stored in a database, sold or shared. To limit spam, the form temporarily keeps an anonymized (one-way hashed) version of your IP address for one hour.
- Server logs. Our web host, HostGator, automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and operation. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.
Links to other sites
Listings link to business websites and third-party pages. The "Get directions" buttons open Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze in a new tab, and only when you click them. We do not control those sites or services and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Update or remove your listing
If you are listed and want to correct, update or remove your listing, or want a contact person's name or email removed, email contact@chbusinessalliance.com. We will act on requests within [30] days.
Children
The Site is a business directory and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
